It is an eye opener to see how a shelter is run and honestly it is a huge, enormous, awesome and a very very mundane tasks to be carried out there. I have helped out in almost all categories of work, the cleaning up of the cattery, the kennels, the cooking (I will tell in detail next week) the washing of the more than 300 bolws, the feeding, and I think that is enough for me.. to be involved in.

This exhaustive work had really made me change my vision of owing  a santuary as I always wanted. Afte visiting and helping out there, I considered it not neccessary to own a santuary, but to help out would be better. At last I manage to get some nice pic of cats relaxing here and there in the santuary. I will put up the dogs department later next week.

I salute and thumbs up to those that own or run a shelter.. May God grant them the continuance strength and wisdom. Thier committment and determination and care giving to these animals are very highly admired and commendable. May your rewards be great in Heaven and here too..

Kudos to Sis Sabrina and Br John for their excellent spirit for this santuary and also to many other volunteers and supporters for this cause..

the cats are resting ,,,,,,,,,

There is always abundant water and food around for them…

they stare at you when you do the work.. they say thank you and I do like the one with the moustache..

and more pictures..it is spacious that they can walk here and there as they like…

All watching you..and earning for a touch, hug.. do come when you can..

Visit to FurryFriendsFarm-Kundang http://www.juliepek.com/visit-to-furryfriendsfarm-kundang/ Sat, 31 Mar 2012 15:47:52 +0000 http://www.juliepek.com/?p=245 Continue reading ]]> After much planning and telephone calls, we are glad to be able to visit the farm. It was not easy to go as I had to ask for a God sent driver, Sis Sabrina Yeap make time to wait for us, Sis Dawn waited for us half way, Dr Veeranoot drop all other appointments, and I myself had to put all together and it was a succesful visit. We only had one and half hour and we are proud to say that we helped out in the cattery only (Next time would be the dog areas) meaning, we fill the water bowl with fresh water, sweep the entire area, clean up and fill up the litter (pengsan job), fill the bowls with food, wash the area, wipe the eyes of the cats, comb their hairs…. etc etc. the picture says a thousand words. There were about 160 cats and more than 100 over dogs. I salute to Sis Sabrina. If no volunteers turn up, she had to do all the work by herself. On that day, there were two other brothers also volunteered.Thank You sis Sabrina for doing so much for the animals. God bless you.
